The Playoffs are coming! And quickly! This is now the time to think about fantasy stashes for the playoffs if you have booked your place in the Championship Playoffs, or if you are out of contention and you want to avoid being last. This week, we are still going to focus on short term additions, as we want all the readers of to get to their championship playoffs.

But the one piece of advice however, heading into the playoffs, is to handcuff your Running Backs. If Austin Eckler is on the wire, and you own Gordon, Eckler should be your number 1 claim this week, if available in your league. Gurley and Hunt might become less relevant in the playoffs as their teams secure bye’s and seeds, so make sure you are getting Brown, Ware, Rod Smith of the Cowboys ect, as you don’t want another Melvin Gordon situation to happen to you. If you haven’t, and you still can, now is the time, before an injury, or a clinching situation leaves you high and dry and out of the playoffs.

So, to get you to the dance, these are our recommendations for the week, on the Waiver Wire.

Dak Prescott (47% owned)- What a time to start having decent fantasy games!! Over 20 points in his last 4 weeks. He threw for 289 yards, 2 tds and ran in another. He has started to use his legs again and the defence is playing well and will get Shaun Lee back soon to bolster the run D with Leighton Vander Esch. Amari Cooper is a real target in the Dallas game now and helps Zeek by meaning they can’t stack the box. He’s been a top 8 fantasy option in back to back weeks. Pick him up, just so your opponents cannot.

Running Back:
Carlos Hyde (37% owned)- With good ole Fournette abandoning his team by throwing punches in a play he wasn’t even involved in; he is now going to have to sit for a week. Hyde, for this week only, has become relevant again. Yeldon will see work but they didn’t trade for Hyde for nothing and he can be relevant. Saying that it could well be a boom or bust play this week. The Jags take on a rampant Colts. They have Cody Kessler under centre and have fired the OC so who knows what happens. However with the wire thin, and people like Eckler and Blount being more in a timeshare, this is the one pick with the highest floor this week.

Wide Receiver:
Adam Humphries (28% owned)- Humphries stepped up in the Bucs’ first game without O.J. Howard, catching all six of his targets for 54 yards and a TD, and he saw some targets near the red zone. He has as many TDs as OBJ and Michael Thomas in his last 5 games. There is also questions over DeSean Jackson’s hand this week. Humphries has always been a reliable target for Winston and despite being a WR4 on the Bucs depth chart, he really puts up better numbers than most WR2’s in this league, especially when Winston is under Centre. It is a boom or bust, as to get over 10 points he will need TDs, but he is hauling them in of late.

Tight End:
C.J Uzomah (30% owned)- We really hope you listened to us last week and picked up Brate, because the Waiver Wire with fit Tight End’s is so slim. It’s like a desert out there and no Oasis in site. Having said that, Uzomah appears to be the best option of the bunch. Despite the Bengals having a new QB this week with Jeff Driscoll, as Dalton is out for the season, this is a favourable matchup vs the Broncos next who give up a lot of receptions inside. Driscoll looked good when he came in last week and lead the bengals to a couple of scores in a loss to the Browns

Packers (20% owned)- The Packers are 3rd in sacks this year and play an Arizona team who have one of the 2 worst offences in the NFL. They have already fired an Offensive Coordinator, and also the packers are at home. This is an absolute slam dunk, as this defence has already shut out the Bills at Lambeau Field. Expect a good amount of points in sacks, and some turnovers.
