On to London! The 2nd game in the International series and the 2nd game at Wembley this year, brings fresh hope and joy to many UK based NFL fans. Some who will get to experience that special feeling of seeing their team live for the very first time! To those and to seasoned fans of many more years, I hope you have the best day of your NFL fandom to date and wish both teams could win for you.

The Chargers have superbowl level talent and might finally after a few seasons of looking like they could challenge, be doing so, but the Titans provide a different test to what they have faced so far this year.

Looking at chargers game this year, you could argue they’ve won every game they have been expected to win, the runaway Rams and Chiefs arguably the most impressive 2 sides in the NFL right now are the only 2 sides to beat them. With Rivers the Chargers have a criminally underrated veteren quaterback who needs to prove to his critics he deserves to be in the conversations for top 5 in the league, the only way to do that is to win in January. With a soft schedule on the horizon the Chargers can put themselves in great position, starting this week at Wembley.

Melvin Gordon is averaging 5.1 yards a carry at the moment and his ability to run to the outside might be the best in the league, if the Chargers can feed him the ball plenty and open up the passing game for Rivers they have the ability as an offense to win big. The defense can get home on any play even without Joey Bosa. Derwin James has already proven a sensational draft pick and is easily in contention for rookie of the year.

The Titans on the hand come into this game with more questions than answers. Is Mariota the future of the franchise? Can he stay healthy? When will the running game open up? All these questions, are caused by a truly woeful offensive line.

I remain un-convinced by Mariota but I can’t help but feel sorry for him, sacked 11 times by the Baltimore ravens defense last week the Titans couldn’t muster any points in a blow out loss, couple this with a running game that failed to get started and you can see why head coach Mike Vrabel will be wishing his team weren’t making the transatlantic flight this week. Though he will be hoping his offensive line can make a reappearance I fear without it that Mariota will be fed to the wolves this Sunday and we may see Gabbert against the frightening Chargers D-Line. A match up nobody going to Wembley and Titans fans will want to avoid.

Match up to Watch: Chargers D-Line vs TItans O-Line, as highlighted above this will decide how ugly this game goes for he Titans.

Player to watch: Melvin Gordon, an outside bet to lead the NFL in rushing by the end of the year, his pace on the outside is terrifying.

Prediction: Chargers 38-10
